{/simplepopup}Институту хирургии им. А.В. Вишневского 3 октября исполнилось 70 лет. Это одно из старейших и авторитетнейших научно-исследовательских медицинских учреждений России, правопреемник Всесоюзного института экспериментальной и клинической медицины имени А. М. Горького. За это время в там было проведено более 100 000 операций различной сложности.
Здесь был создан первый в СССР аппарат искусственного кровообращения, и проведено две именных операции - Вишневского-Донецкого и Арапова-Гринько. Они являются уникальными, их не проводят нигде в мире.
Сегодня в институте активно проводятся исследования в области трансплантологии, медицинской кибернетики и лечения серотониновой недостаточности – сложнейшем направлении в современной хирургии.
Институт хирургии им. А.В. Вишневского оказывает медицинскую помощь по хирургии органов брюшной полости, сосудистой, кардио-, грудной, гнойной хирургии, в лечении ожогов, урологии, травматологии, пластической и реконструктивной хирургии.
